A Testimony of God's Grace

Water of Life Church will begin airing on LeSEA World Harvest Television on Dish Network (Channel 217) and Direct TV (Channel 367) this Sunday, May 3, 2015.

I would like to share a little about how God has worked in my life through this ministry. I have been on staff with Water of Life Ministries since January 2008 but we began listening to them in the early ‘90s when my husband came across them on TV. At that time we received LeSEA Broadcasting on Fox 31 via our roof mounted TV antenna. It was my husband who began to listen regularly, I had little interest.  Later that changed and I became somewhat more receptive as the gospel that was being ministered worked on my hard heart. Before then I had never heard that the gospel was the power of God and that the gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

As Little Children

Matthew 18:

1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

 

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

 

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Glorious Day, O Glorious Day!

The song Glorious Day has been in my heart for weeks...I believe that it is God, ministering the gospel of the Lord Jesus to my heart. The gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15: 3 and 4. I am including the first four verses, that we might see what the apostle Paul is saying.

What Is The Gospel?

1 Corinthians 15:

³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Jesus Satisfies the Longing Soul

The Lord has been reminding me of things from years ago and it has been an encouragement to my heart. It is good to be reminded of where we came from, of what the Lord has brought us through even when we weren't considering God at all.

Many years ago I was in desperate situation and I came to the place I believed if I didn't make some changes things could be tragic. I did make a change and it brought some relief but the situation wasn't completely resolved. Months later I was at a crossroad and I didn't know what to do; I didn't know how to go forward; I didn't know what was right, and no one could help me to know what was right. I knew little about the Lord Jesus, let alone have a personal relationship with Him or the Father, but I know now, the Lord put a prayer in my heart and about 11:00 one night I said to God:

Consider Jesus

Oftentimes, in our walk with the Lord we will find ourselves in situations that test our faith and our love and that is the purpose for them. We may think we have been taken advantage  of or we have been treated unjustly: “How can you talk to me that way?” How can you treat me that way?” Why did you say that about me, you know that’s not true!” “I’ve done nothing to deserve that!” or whatever the circumstance is. I certainly understand those feelings, I have been there and I’m going to share a little about one of those times here.

Talking of His Mighty Power!

Psalm 145 tells us to talk of the power of God, to make known His mighty acts…so I would like to do that—tell of His power working in my life. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony and we love not our lives unto death (Rev. 12:11) and who doesn’t want to overcome? I initially posted this testimony a few weeks ago on Facebook and am sharing again here.
