Glorious Day, O Glorious Day!

The song Glorious Day has been in my heart for weeks...I believe that it is God, ministering the gospel of the Lord Jesus to my heart. The gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15: 3 and 4. I am including the first four verses, that we might see what the apostle Paul is saying.

¹Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

² By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

If we look at Romans 1:16 it tells us that the gospel is the power of God:

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹⁷ For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

It is through the gospel of the Lord Jesus, that we receive forgiveness of sins. It is through the gospel of the Lord Jesus that God supplies ALL our needs. If we will hold fast to the gospel, mix our faith with it, whatever we need, whatever we may be lacking, the Father has already supplied it through the death burial and resurrection of His Son.
