God's Protection

My friend Kristina, has given me permission to share the following testimony of the power of God working on her behalf, on behalf of her children.

God Bless,
Kathy

"Over the past 2 years God has placed me in situations where I HAD to trust God with my children....I literally HAD too, I had no other choice. This past year has been particularly trying and God has taken me thru each and every situation as I have worked out my salvation with fear and trembling. Eventually coming thru each trial more purged, more sanctified and more justified by the gospel. The anguish of my soul has been unbearable at times and each time I'd come to the end of me.....Jesus was there.

We have been taught that we will need to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and live in Psalm 91, especially in today's world and things to come. I have prayed this psalm many times for my household and especially my children as I have to send them out often for sometimes days at a time without seeing them. And sometimes just sending them off to school. They are young, real young. It's been a psalm I have held onto and the hope that them leaving like they do will come to an end.

Just this past weekend my sons went on a ski trip to Indiana with their dad. I recall praying during that time Psalm 91 on their behalf. It brought me some peace during difficult moments. I hadn't talked to them until Monday night upon their return. I found out that my oldest son had gotten lost and separated from his brother and dad. Mind you there are thousands of people at this ski resort. Thank God his dad gave them all radios in the event this happened. They were able to talk over the radio but then it went silent for quite sometime as Michael was so afraid and crying so hard and unable to get his gloves off to answer, fear rose. Eventually he was found by his dad but he was one scared little boy.

As I listened to them share and watched as the fear rose in one because he was lost and the either because he feared he would never see his brother again, I realized the magnitude of what reading and believing Psalm 91 was about. It's no lie! No evil came near my son that day. Oh.... it could have and everyday children get lost and you never see them again or something terrible happens to them. But I know and believe strongly that God withheld evil that day and only allowed what happened to happen, because I have set my love upon Him. Michael shared with me how he prayed Jesus thru his crying and fear. I said He heard you and never left you.

Then I shared something that I knew was from the Lord and in a way I never thought. I told him of the story where Jesus leaves the 99 to go find the one lost. I said that one lost was you Michael and you will never be lost again. He cried. That ministered faith to both of us. I thank God that we have been instructed through Doyle Davidson with Water of Life Ministries to believe the gospel and to mix our faith as we read the psalms out loud along with Isaiah 52 and 53. Anything could have happened to him this past weekend but I choose to trust in the gospel and trust God with my sons. This was not easy. It was grievous but He never left them and worked much out of my heart in the process.

I encourage you to listen to the attached video of Kathy Davidson with WOL Ministries preaching the gospel and how to live in Psalm 91. It will bless you. Read Psalm 91 and mix your faith with it.....it works and you will see that for yourself.

God bless

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:9-11"

Back From The Dead

"Oh Lord, give me a simple heart to believe your word."

Excerpt From: A Rushing Mighty Wind by Mel Tari

Mel Tari and others had been instructed by the Spirit of God to pray for a woman who had died, and God said he would raise her from the dead. Because of their unbelief, they did not obey God and the Lord showed them that it was his will to have raised her from the dead that His name would be glorified. They prayed and asked the Lord for forgiveness and said:

"Lord, if you give us another opportunity we really want to believe your word."

Not too long after that, we were in another village called Amfoang where a man had died. He had been dead not only for a few minutes but for two days. The family invited us to the funeral because there were many people planning to come -- as a matter of fact, hundreds -- and they said, "Maybe you would have a word of comfort to give the family." So we went.

When we arrived there, there were more than a thousand people. That man had been dead for two days and was very stinky. In our tropical country, when you're dead six hours, you start to decay. But after two days -- Oh, I tell you, you couldn't stand within 100 feet of him. You smelled that smell and it was awful. In America, you cannot understand that because in your funeral services, they make everything very good. But it is because of your $2,000. In Indonesia, we don't have a way to make a dead person look so nice. The people there just look terrible in two days after they have died.

When we were there and sitting with the mourners, suddenly the Lord said, "Now please go and stand around that dead person, sing songs, and I will raise him back from the dead."

When my brother-in-law told me that, I said, "Oh, dear! The first time, the lady was dead only a few minutes. That was different. Now we will really get into trouble. This man has been dead two days. Oh no, this is too much!"  My computer was working again. Their computers were working, too. We began to wonder, shall we do it or not? All of a sudden, we remembered how sad we had been when we failed to trust the Word of God. So I just prayed, "Oh Lord, give me a simple heart to believe your word."

I remembered the Scripture as Jesus came to the city of Jericho. Zacchaeus was waiting for Jesus, but he was waiting for Him in the wrong place. He was up in a tree. Jesus said, "Zacchaeus come down." The Lord visited with him in his house and Zacchaeus was so happy. He probably had to come down five or six feet out of the tree to find Jesus. But I believe we in this modern age don't need to come down three, four, or six feet because we are not in trees. We only need to come down about a foot -- from our minds to our hearts. We have all the words of God in our minds, and we do all the figuring out there, and we have lost the power of God. If we would only put the Word of God one foot down from our minds to our hearts, I am certain we could see the power of God move in a mighty way today.

Then I said to the Lord, "Oh, Lord, please give me a simple heart, and move in our midst." So we decided in unison that we would obey the Lord because we had failed Him before. And we did.

We went and stood around this dead person. We began to sing. You know that time, the devil said to me, "It is awful for you to sing by this stinky man. When you are 100 feet away, it is bad enough. But now that you are standing near this dead person, when you open your mouth all that filth and stench comes in your mouth. It is foolish to do that."

This is true, but I must still obey the Lord," I thought. So we began to sing. But after the first song, nothing had taken place. So we started to wonder, "Lord if you're going to raise him up, please do it quickly, because we can't stand to stay around this stinky man. We just can't sing any more songs by this terrible smell."

Then we sang a second song, and nothing happened.

On the fifth song, nothing happened. But on the sixth song, that man began to move his toes -- and the team began to get scared. We have a story in Indonesia, that sometimes when people die, they wake up and hug a person by their coffin and then die again. However, we just went ahead and sang. When we sang the seventh and eighth songs, that brother woke up, looked around and smiled.

He didn't hug anybody. He just opened his mouth and [said],

"Jesus has brought me back to life. Brothers and sisters, I want to tell you something. First, life never ends when you die. I've  been dead two days, and I've experienced it."

The second thing he said was,

"Hell and heaven are real. I have experienced it. The third thing I want to tell you is, if you don't find Jesus in this life, you will never go to heaven. You will be condemned to hell for sure."

After he had said these things, we opened our Bible and confirmed his testimony by the Word of God. He not only found Jesus Christ as his Savior, but in that area, more that 21,000 people came to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, because of the ministry of this man.

God's Grace on My Family by Jacqueline King (Part Three)

The following is Part Three, of Jacqueline's testimony. She has given me permission to share her remarkable story. It is a testament to the faithfulness and mercy of God.

God Bless,

Kathy

God's Grace on My Family Part Three

I believe this is right to share. The Lord brings back events from the past, where God's grace is evident and abundant toward Papa, Maman, therefore Francoise and I.

The first event is about Papa. It took place in the 30's. He was a plain clothes detective for the Paris police department. He and a small team of other detectives were in pursuit of a criminal. The criminal got in a car and as the car started moving, Papa jumped on the running board of the driver's side, holding on to the car. Papa tried to stop him as the man pointed point blank a revolver at him. His finger was on the trigger. One of the detectives saw it and aimed at the man and fired. The criminal's finger on the trigger was hit. Papa's life was spared. The Lord's grace was with Papa. He had other things for him to do as World War 2 was approaching.

The second event took place during the war. As Papa was leaving our apartment building he noticed a group of men, He knew they were there for him. He had no other exit but the big double doors leading to the street. They were between him and the door. His heart in his chest was beating very hard, but his only choice was to keep going, maintaining a normal pace and a control and composed appearance. He got closer and closer to them and slowly passed in their midst. He reached the street directing his steps to the right towards the entrance of the Metro. Slowly going down the first few steps and accelerating as soon as he knew he was out of their sight. The Lord would not let those men harm him, again his incredible grace was evident.

The third event pertains to Maman. It was 1946, I was six years old in the first grade. Papa took her to the doctor. The doctor told Papa: "She needs an operation, and I don't mean next week--tomorrow." Maman had cancer, she had to have a hystectomy. The mood was somber and it was a very sad period. Francoise and I had been sent to live with our Aunt and Uncle who lived in the same apartment complex as we did. I remembered how worried I was about Maman and depressed, longing to be with her, missing her hugs and kisses. It is from that time that I started fearing loosing Maman. School was very hard because I knew Maman would not be there when I came home. At that time children did not visit grown-ups in the hospital. It was endless weeks before we were finally back home all together. The Lord's grace was on Maman in 1946, when at 42 she had the surgery. God kept her alive 50 more years, giving her salvation; first just born again in 1970, then the Lord brought her to Water of Life, where she learned the truth about what the gospel is and obeyed the apostle and prophet by reading the psalms, Isaiah 52 and 53, and the new testament everyday. She was reading, praying and giving thanks. She was also baptized in the Holy Spirit, one of her favorite psalms was psalm 86, one of Papa's favorite was psalm 37. Maman went to heaven the same day the Lord called Doyle's dad home February 28, 1996.

In the 80's she had become an American citizen She had mastered the book in English, giving to the future citizens to study. The lady who interviewed her on this special day was amazed and delighted at her dedication to learn American history and her enthusiasm at becoming an American. She knew all the answers without any hesitation. Maman always loved history and I took that after her. Francoise was with her that day--what a great day it was.

The second incident concerning Maman took place in the metro. It could have been fatal. I must have been 8 or 9 years of age. We stepped in Francoise and I alone with other people--Maman did not have time and the automatic doors closed, leaving her hanging. She was holding on to the handles of the 2 doors--outside--(Maman was 4'11, and I'm sure an angel held her up, because there was no place for her feet) the metro was moving and the entrance of the tunnel was approaching. I know I was crying and terrified. I know that Francoise must have been too. I kept my eyes on Maman. Several men tried to pry the hydraulic doors open to get her in. It took several of them before entering the tunnel to get her in--what a fright and what a relief. Now I know, one of those men was an angel--strong and mighty minister--God's grace protected Maman that day--his love and care for all of us, his mercy on our family was tremendous.

I thank God that he gave Francoise and I parents who were honest, hard workers, with integrity and principles that they lived by and taught us to live by as well. Respect for others and showing reverence to elders were not optional. God made both of them selfless and unselfish. Neither of them liked to call attention to themselves. Papa turned down the French government highest award after the war and simply said, "I just did what I had to do." The commendation from General Eisenhower was never displayed. Papa was not after the honor of men. I thank God for the way he made Papa.

God Bless.

The Story of Jim Clark

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“The Story of Jim Clark” is a story of redemption, of forgiveness, of mercy and grace. It is a testament of the love of God for His people.

I encourage you to not only read the written version, but also watch the video, as Doyle Davidson shares what God did for Jim Clark.

God will do the same for anyone, no matter the circumstances or the situation one may find themselves in, it is never too late--as long as there is breath we can call on the name of Jesus and be saved.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God Bless, Kathy

The Story of Jim Clark

Jim Clark was one of our piano players and had been for about four years. Jim was a well-known and liked manager of Mervyn’s department store. He had talked to me sometime before about his homosexual problems. In late October Jim asked to talk with me after bible school was over. He and I sat down on the ledge of the northeast corner of building. Jim talked to me about his sin. He said, “Doyle, no place has ever been able to help me and if there is any help it’s got to come through you.” He continued, “If God doesn’t deliver me I’m going back to San Francisco and I’ll certainly go to hell.” I prayed for the Lord to intervene into Jim’s life. That Friday he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with AIDS. He never had a chance to sin again. He was in the hospital for about a week to ten days and I visited him every day. The last day I was in his room he couldn’t talk, but he pointed to a tablet and I handed it to him with a pen. He wrote, “I am not afraid, I am ready to go home.” That night he passed away.

People came from New York, California, and Florida to Jim’s funeral. His family came from Illinois. His father asked me, “Did he make a full confession?” I replied, “Yes, sir!” I was asked to do his funeral of course, but God was most certainly dealing with my heart. I asked God, “What am I going to say?” He answered, “Tell them where he’s at! “Well," I asked, "where is he?” God said, “Turn to Hebrews 12 and I’ll show you.”

And I did, Hebrews 12: 22,23

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

I stepped up to the pulpit. The sanctuary was full of sad faces, many were standing along the walls, slumped down, looking dejected. I began sharing how Jim Clark had a sin that he couldn’t overcome, and I spoke what he had told me before he went to the hospital and how God forgave him and set him free and shared the last words that he had written to me. As I continued to speak those people in that sanctuary began to sit up and look at me. The looks on their faces became pleasant and pleased.

Afterward the district manager of Mervyns came up to me and said, “Pastor, many of us came here today with heavy hearts, and your words comforted us and made us very happy to know where Jim Clark is.” This was probably one of the most difficult sermons that I had to deliver because of all the demonic activity that was in this sanctuary but as I spoke those satanic forces began to recede.
It turned out to be one of the most joyful messages I have ever delivered. I thank God for his word that his mercy would never depart from this house because I had obeyed him because I know where Jim Clark is at; he is with the Lord

Excerpt from "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom (The Vision)

Germany attacked Holland on May 10, 1940, the attack was devastating and six days later Holland surrendered.

Prior to the attack the Prime Minister addressed the nation and gave assurance there would be no war, Holland’s neutrality would be respected. The ten Booms, Corrie, Betsie and their father, were listening to the message that evening and suddenly their father stood up  and in anger turned the radio off. Corrie shares that there was a fire in his blue eyes that they had never seen.

“It is wrong to give the people hope when there is no hope,” he said. “It is wrong to base faith on wishes. There will be war, the Germans will attack and we will fall.”
His voice softened and he said to his daughters:

“Oh my dears, I am sorry for all the Dutchmen now who don’t know the power of God. For we will be beaten. But He will not.”

Five hours after the Prime Minister’s speech, Germany attacked Holland and Corrie and Betsie woke to the sound of bombs and planes, and fire lit up the night sky, but their father slept. They huddled together in Betsie's bed talking and praying. They prayed for their country, the Queen and Betsie prayed for the Germans, flying the planes.
And then Corrie had a vision. She said it was like a dream but she wasn’t asleep.

“I saw the Grote Markt, half a block away, as clearly as though I was standing there, saw the town hall and St. Bavo’s and the fish mart with its stair-stepped façade.

Then as I watched, a kind of odd, old farm wagon—old fashioned and out of place in the middle of a city—came lumbering across the square pulled by four enormous black horses. To my surprise I saw that I myself was sitting in the wagon. And Father too! And Betsie! There were many others, some strangers, some friends. I recognized Pickwick and Toos, Willem and young Peter. All together we were slowly being drawn across the square behind those horses. We couldn’t get off the wagon, that was the terrible thing. It was taking us away—far away, I felt—but we didn’t want to go…
‘Betsie!’ I cried, jumping up, pressing my hand to my eyes. ‘Betsie, I’ve had such an awful dream!’

They went to the kitchen and made a pot of coffee as Corrie told Betsie what she had seen.

‘Am I imagining things because I’m frightened? But it wasn’t like that! It was real. Oh Betsie, was it a kind of vision?’
'I don’t know,’ she said softly. ‘But if God has shown us bad times ahead, it enough for me that He knows about them. That why He sometimes shows us things, you know—to tell us that this too is in His hands.’

Corrie wrote that realization of the horror of the occupation was gradual. As arrests of Jews became more and more frequent, Corrie began personally delivering the repaired watches and clocks to their Jewish customers, that they might be spared going out in the streets to come to the shop. On one of her deliveries, she visited with a family over tea, and as they talked, everything appeared so normaland at that moment the reality hit Corrie, and she knew everything had changed. The father of the house was tucking his children into bed and and as she listened to the children’s laughter she knew at any moment there could come a knock at the door and the family could be taken away. As their conversation continued a prayer formed in Corrie’s heart:
‘”Lord Jesus, I offer myself for your people. In any way. In any place. Any time.’

And then an extraordinary thing happened.
Even as I prayed, that waking dream passed again before my eyes. I saw again those four black horses and the Grote Markt. As I had on the night of the invasion I scanned the passengers drawn so unwillingly behind them. Father, Betsie, Willem, myself—leaving Haarlem, leaving all that was sure and safe—going where?”

The ten Booms’ home and tiny watch repair shop—the Beje—became the center of an underground network that provided refuge, provisions and escape for their Jewish countrymen, a network that spread to the four corners of Holland.

When their house was raided and they, along with others, were interrogated and finally loaded on a rickety bus, Corrie watched out the window as they drove across the Grote Markt:

"In a strange way it seemed to me that I had lived through this moment before.
Then I recalled.

The vision.
The night of the invasion. I had seen it all. Willhelm, Nollie, Pickwick, Peter—all of us here—drawn against our wills across this square. It had all been in the dream—all of us leaving Haarlem, unable to turn back, going where?”

And the prayer Corrie had prayed in her heart, offering herself for His people, He fulfilled it in her life. She, along with Betsie, ministered Jesus to untold numbers in Scheveningen and Ravensbruck and when Corrie was released, she went on to minister all over the world.

"This is what the past is for. Every experience God give us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see." -Corrie ten Boom

Kassandra

2 Samuel 12

16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Today, would be  my baby daughter's 35th birthday. She was born on a Monday-- early evening, and in the early morning hours of the following Thursday, as I held her in my arms, she slipped away.

It was the most difficult and painful thing I had ever experienced up to that point in my life. I knew nothing about the Lord and really had nothing to hold on to, nowhere to find comfort. I knew there was a God in heaven and knew about his son Jesus who was crucified and was my savior, but  he wasn't  Lord of my life.

Since those days, God has intervened in my life and I do have a relationship with the Lord Jesus, with the Father, and I know what 1 Thessalonians 4 says:

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Oh how I thank God for those words!

When God ministered the verses in 1 Samuel 12 to me, about David and his son, especially, "I shall go to him..." it healed up a hurt in my heart that I didn't know was still there.

So today I can think on these things, and remember my baby girl and there is peace in my heart and there is joy, knowing I will see her again, and really believe that. And not just her, but others "which sleep in Jesus".

So I encourage you, if you have a broken heart, if there is sorrow, if you have ANY need in your life, Jesus is the answer. He died, was buried and raised again, on the third day for you and me. He not only took our sin on himself on the cross for us, he took our sorrow, our pain, our poverty...whatever our need, the Father provided through the death, burial and resurrection of his Son, the Lord Jesus.

If you don't know Jesus, if you aren't born again, you can be, right now today! You can have assurance that you too, will see those that have gone to be with Jesus.

Romans 10:14

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Won't you call on the name of Jesus today? I promise you won't be sorry you did.

God bless,

Kathy
